God the Spirit
Synopsis: When we talk about God the Son we say Jesus is the Son of God. It works the same way when we talk about God the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is literally the Breath of God.
Jesus invited believers into a relationship with God as their Heavenly Father. He also taught believers that “God is Spirit.” (John 4:21-24) And we learn that the Spirit is life.
The term “Spirit” has a wonderful lesson to teach us in and of itself. Unfortunately, English doesn’t have the same inferences as does the Hebrew and Greek. The term can be translated “breath,” “wind,” and “spirit.”
There are many spirits. Many powers that lay claim to the divine, but are not. The God the Spirit is always at war with the evil in our world and in our lives. Who is winning the battle in your life?
