1 Corinthians 15:12-20
Synopsis: Easter sermon usually have a central theme and that is the way it should be. Jesus lives and what does that mean to believers? What is the relationship of Jesus’ resurrection and that of believers? The Apostle Paul basically says they are the same thing. In fact, the Gospel message itself is predicated on what the life, death and resurrection of Christ. Without Jesus there is no Gospel.
The death of Jesus on a cruel cross was a horrendous tragedy that God the Father turned into an overwhelming surprise by the power of the resurrection. God the Father is still turning tragedies into surprises through the power of the resurrected Christ.
Jesus lives by the power of the Spirit of God in the hearts and lives of believers every day. Let Him turn your tragedy into a resurrection surprise.
